Gov't announces its 4 member reconstituted committee for Taliban Talks

ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has announced its four member reconstituted committee for holding negotiations with Taliban – ARY News reports.

According to details, Secretary Ports and Shipping, Habibullah Khattak will be the head of the committee, whilst the other three members are Additional Secretary FATA, Arbab Arif, Rustam Shah Mohmand and Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister, Fawwad Hassan Fawwad.

Sources further told that the Government committee will directly hold talks with Taliban and it will also visit North Waziristan Agency for this purpose. The newly formed committee will resume the negotiations process in the next one or two days.

It was also reported that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan and the CM KP Pervez Khattak into confidence, regarding the new peace committee.
