ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet on Wednesday approved the extension in period of export of wheat and wheat products till March 15
The committee met in Islamabad chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. The decision was made keeping in view the surplus wheat stocks in the country and allowed the export of additional quantity of 400,000 tons of wheat and wheat products by governments of Punjab and Sindh.
The meeting also approved payment of salaries to the employees of Pakistan Steel Mills for October. It also gave approval for additional guarantees of 10.5 billion rupees to cater for the financial needs of the Pakistan International Airlines.
