Govt attempt for dialogue with Dr. Qadri ends up in failure

TOP NEWS

Sources told that government attempted to contact Dr. Qadri through religious scholars and political leaders, however, the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief refused to listen to the telephonic calls of federal ministers and governor Punjab.

They informed that government tried to mediate with Dr. Qadri through a London-based spiritual leader, but in vain.

The workers and leadership of the PAT have categorically asked the government to first implement a five-point resolution agreed in a multi-party conference some time ago to proceed towards a meaningful dialogue.

The resolution demands include resignation of Punjab chief minister, registration of FIR of Model Town incident and formation three-member SC judicial commission to probe the Lahore incident in which around three dozens, mostly PAT workers, were killed in clash with the police in June.
