Govt can possibly arrest Tahir ul Qadri, Sheikh Rasheed: Sources

ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has decided to take a strict action against Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief, Dr Tahir ul Qadri and Awami Muslim League (AML) Head, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed – ARY News reports.

According to sources, Government of Pakistan has decided to deal with Dr Tahir ul Qadri and Sheikh Rasheed, iron handedly. It was further told that the PAT Chief can be taken into custody as soon as he arrives at the Islamabad airport.

Sources also told that the Government can possibly arrest Sheikh Rasheed for preventing breach of peace and panic in the state.

ARY News Islamabad Bureau Chief, Sabir Shakir told that the AML Chief is expected to be arrested on coming Saturday or Sunday.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed responding to these reports, vowed to stay firm at his stance and not to step back from it. The AML Chief claimed not to be influenced by the Government and to continue with his train march, which according to him will prove to be historic.

He vowed to take on his plans and asked the Government to do whatever it can.

Rasheed also said that after the train march, Dr Tahir ul Qadri will also be welcomed upon his arrival on June 23.

Moreover, he said that whether it is Imran Khan, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Dr Tahir ul Qadri or he himself, the Government cannot pressurize anyone and prevent from acquiring the just rights.
