Gov't committee briefs Nisar on its meet with Taliban shuraa

ISLAMABAD: The Government talks committee held a meeting with the Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and briefed him about the negotiations proceedings with the Taliban shuraa – ARY News reports.

According to details, the meeting pondered upon the negotiations process, members of the committee informed the Interior Minister about the details of their meet with Taliban elders.

The release of non-combatant prisoners and a free-zone also came under discussion at today's meet.

Meanwhile, member of Government team, Rustam Shah Mohmand stated that the process will be difficult to advance without the release of prisoners and urged for the formation of a committee to investigate missing Taliban members.

He stated that the ceasefire will be continued, whilst a second round of talks with Taliban shuraa will be held in next few days.

On the other hand, member of old Taliban nominated committee, Professor Ibrahim told ARY News that Taliban shuraa has ensured that as long as the dialogue process continues, Taliban will abide by the ceasefire.
