Gov't committee for peace talks to meet ISI Chief Zaheerul Islam tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Members of the Government's committee for peace talks will be meeting the Chief of Pakistan's superior most intelligence agency, the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), tomorrow – ARY News reports.

Sources told that the Government's committee is expected to hold a sitting with Taliban announced committee for talks.

Prior to this, the state announced peace committee will meet the ISI Chief, Lieutenant-General Zaheerul Islam. The members of the committee will exchange views with the ISI Chief and will also brief him on the advancements in the peace process.

Meanwhile, the Advisor to PM and coordinator of the Peace Talks Committee, Irfan Siddiqui has also affirmed the chances of a meeting of both the teams tomorrow.

Earlier, Molana Samiul Haq had expressed his concerns after being asked by the state's committee for an explanation, due to which a deadlock occurred in the negotiations process.
