ISLAMABAD: The debate on firing incident in Lahore made the National Assembly proceedings lively on Thursday, as opposition lawmakers vehemently criticized the government’s handling of the incident, ARY News reported.

Leader of the Opposition Syed Khursheed Shah in his scathing speech said that the government needs support against terrorism but it has been itself involved in terrorism. “We love democracy but not the government,” he added.

PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi speaking at the floor of the lower house demanded withdrawal of the FIR registered against 3000 people after the bloody incident in Lahore.

Qureshi demanded the government to rein in the people like Rana Sanaullah.
