Gov't decides to hold in-house debate on NSP
ISLAMABAD: Government has decided to hold a debate on the National Security Policy (NSP) at the floor of the National Assembly, which was tabled in the house yesterday by the Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan – ARY News reports.
According to details, members of the National Assembly were provided with the draft of the NSP on Thursday, which consists of 94 pages. The Government announced to hold a debate on the policy and sought suggestion from the parliamentarians regarding the charter.
NSP is divided into 3 portions, first part will be secretive, second would be strategic, whereas the third portion of the policy will be operational.
Moreover, the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif has vowed that the Government will certainly take the opposition into confidence regarding the key security policy of the country.
