Gov’t decides to call in military for assisting civil administration in state

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif has presided a high-level meeting here on Friday, after which the Government of Pakistan has decided to call in the military for assisting the civil administration in the state – ARY News reports.

At one side the operation Zarb-e-Azb is continued in North Waziristan then on the other, targeted operations are being conducted against kidnappers, extortionists and other criminals in Karachi, whereas the situation on the western borders is also not satisfactory.

Provided this security situation of the state, the opposition is leading the politics of protests and rallies, Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri have been hyper-active against the Government, under all these circumstances the Government has found out a unique remedy.

A high-level meeting presided by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, decided to call in the military to assist the civil administration in dealing with uncertain circumstances of the state if required.

The constitution of Pakistan allows the Prime Minister to seek help from the military under the article 245.

On the other hand, official sources have confirmed the deployment of Pak-Army contingents along with police for the security of sensitive installments and entry and exit points of different cities in Azad Kashmir.
