ISLAMABAD: The government has written a letter to Taliban demanding immediately halting the militant attacks, ARY News reported on Thursday. 

The government talks committee, in a letter handed over to Taliban committee, has expressed concerns over continued attacks and demanded immediate halt of the militant attacks. 

The government letter said that if the attackers are some other elements than they should be indicated and exposed.

A meeting of the talks committee held yesterday night, which was attended by the all four members of the government committee. 

The meeting also discussed a written report presented by the Taliban committee. Later, the committee informed Taliban in written about the government's response. 

Moreover, MQM senator Nasreen Jalil, speaking in the upper house of the parliament blasted the government's dialogue with Taliban. She demanded that the attacks by the militants should be halted if the government wants to hold dialogue with Taliban.
