ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has devised a strategy of a full-fledged military operation against extremists in North Waziristan Agency, while analysts are declaring it a positive advancement with respect to the future of the country – ARY News reports.
Political and military leadership eventually decided for an offensive against extremists. During a high level meeting, presided by the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, strategy was devised for a full fledged military operation against extremists in North Waziristan. Analysts have said that a recent divide amongst different factions of extremists, can prove to be advantageous for the Government.
Analysts are of the view that Taliban did not return Government’s move of talks seriously and tried to get strict conditions admitted, whereas terrorism incidents were also not reduced during the negotiations process.
On the other hand, US drone attacks were also ceased upon the condition that Pakistan will itself take an action against extremist elements, within its territories.
