LAHORE: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that the Federal Government has failed in playing its due role on the issue of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan – ARY News reports.

According to details, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain presided a meeting of PMLQ here on Thursday, at which serious concerns were expressed that the Federal Government did not take any effective measures prior to North Waziristan Operation, nor it take the provinces into confidence.

It was said at the meeting that the rulers were more concerned about an operation in Model Town, rather than in North Waziristan.

On this occasion, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi vowed that PMLQ will not leave the IDPs alone in this difficult time, for it is an issue of the entire country, not just a single province.

Meanwhile, the meeting decided to set IDP relief camps on district level, through which relief goods will be collected for the North Waziristan affectees.
