Gov't has no power to free Musharraf, says Pervez Rasheed
ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister, Pervez Rasheed has said that the Government does not have the power to free Pervez Musharraf, while Pakistan's terms with international fraternity have improved – ARY News reports.
Talking to media after a book launch ceremony here on Tuesday, the Information Minister said that earlier the world used to consider Pakistan as part of a problem, but now it is thought to be a solution to the issue.
Answering a question relating to General (R) Pervez Musharraf, Rasheed clarified that Saudi Arabia is not interfering into the matter, while the Government has no authority to free the former President.
Returning to another question about the division of Sindh, he stated that these affairs have already been decided in the Constitution of Pakistan.
Moreover, the Information Minister said that peace is being promoted in the region instead of confrontation.
