Govt, MQM talks postponed till PM’s return

According to details, the first round of talks between government and MQM concluded on Tuesday night, however the decisions to form a committee to address MQM reservation and its procedure will be made upon PM’s return.

MQM delegates held talks with government team headed by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the meeting focused on 19 points laid forth by the discontented party.

MQM leader Farooq Sattar also kept Maulana Fazlur Rahman informed about the talks held with government.

He told the JUI-F chief that his party can review its resignations provided if positive advancements take place with regard to the formation of committee to address MQM’s concerns.

At this, Fazl said the government is trying to eliminate MQM’s reservations.
