Govt promoting youth towards micro-businesses, says Punjab minister

LAHORE: Punjab’s Finance Minister Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha has stated that thousands of people have initiated their own businesses under the provision of the chief minister’s interest-free loan scheme.

She was speaking at the first session of the International Islamic Economic, Banking & Finance Conference held here in Lahore on Tuesday.

Pasha said that the provincial government is initiating programmes which will improve the standard of living of the less-privilege parts of the society.

The minister further said that the provincial government was promoting youngsters towards micro-businesses as it wasn’t able to provide jobs to all.

She went on to say that nearly 100,000 young men and women in a year moving towards practical life after completing their education.
