Gov't not to stay quiet if peace talks fail, claims Ahsan Iqbal

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal has said that if peace is not restored through talks, then the Government will not stay quiet on terrorism, whereas Law Minister Punjab, Rana Sanaullah has urged Taliban not to harm innocent citizens during negotiations process – ARY News reports.

Talking to media here on Friday, Ahsan Iqbal said that the Government is determined for eradicating terrorism from the state, dialogue is a better way out, fine if successful or else the Government will not stay quiet.

Meanwhile, Rana Sanaullah appealed Taliban not to kill innocent citizens during the negotiations process with the Government of Pakistan.

He also appealed PTI Chief, Imran Khan and Molana Fazlur Rahman to play their role in peace talks with Taliban.
