Govt takes measures to uplift tribal areas: minister

LANDIKOTAL: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noorul Haq Qadri has said that the government has devised comprehensive plan to uplift the tribal areas.    

Talking to journalists in Landikotal area Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Noorul Haq Qadri said that they were taking measures to improve the socio-economic condition of the tribal areas.

The minister said that the government will soon release funds under the NFC award for the development of tribal districts.

 Under the special directives of Prime Minister Imran, more jobs opportunities will be provided to the youth of tribal areas, he concluded.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly, on October 20, had concluded general discussion on budget for the year 2018-19,

KP Finance Minister Taimur Salim Jhagra had said the government was planning to provide interest-free loan to 40, 000 youths in the provicne and a special fund of Rs100billion will be spent on tribal districts.
