Govt taking steps to end power outages by March 2018: state minister

MULTAN: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Wednesday said that elaborate measures are being taken to completely end power outages by March 2018.

 Addressing a news conference, the state minister said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is committed to eradicate load-shedding from the country by 2018. Therefore, energy projects are being completed on war footings.

He said large quantity of electricity is being added to the national grid after every two or three months besides establishing new grid stations to provide electricity connections to all applicants.
