Gov't, Taliban committees expected to meet in next 24 hours
ISLAMABAD: The Government committee for peace talks, has contacted Molana Sami ul Haq, after which both the committees are expected to meet in next 24 hours – ARY News reports.
According to details, coordinator of Government negotiations team, Habibullah Khattak telephoned member of Taliban-nominated committee, Molana Sami ul Haq and discussed with him current situation of talks with Taliban. Sources told that both the committees are expected to meet in next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi also called Molana Sami ul Haq, both the personalities held a discussion on Government's talks with Taliban.
Ashrafi said that both the sides should make immediate and serious efforts for the release of non-combatant prisoners; this will help advancing the peace process and will build up trust on each other.
