Gov't-Taliban committees meeting postponed for unknown reasons

ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Government and Taliban representative committees which was to be held today, has been postponed – ARY News reports.

According to details, Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had called the meeting of both committees to decide on future proceedings of negotiations with Taliban, yet it was postponed due to unknown reasons. The meeting will be held in the evening tomorrow, at the Punjab House, Islamabad.

Meanwhile, sources told that the military leadership has serious reservations on the release of Taliban prisoners, whereas in return of it, Taliban extended the ceasefire for only 10 days.

The military leadership stated that holding negotiations under pressure, can have serious losses.
