Govt-Taliban direct talks to be held in next two days: Prof. Ibrahim
ISLAMABAD: Member Taliban committee for peace talks Prof. Ibrahim said direct talks between the government and the Taliban interlocutors could be arranged any time in next 48 hours, ARY News reported.
He said propaganda against peace talks should now end. He said they were awaiting the details of prisoners released by the government.
“We also expect the Taliban to release detainees [as demanded by the government],” he said.
He said the place and time for next direct talks will also be decided in the next 48 hours.
Prof. Ibrahim said leaders of the PPP should refrain from issuing statements that may hamper the release of Taseer and Gilani’s sons.
