Govt, Taliban teams reach Tull for peace dialogue

ISLAMABAD: The members of the government and Taliban talks committees have reached Tull area of district Hangu for direct talks with Taliban, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

The government's team will meet the Shura of Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan at a secret place to discuss extension in the cease-fire and other issues.

The two sides are expected to hold talks over extension in the ceasefire period, the issue of the detained people and other matters, sources said. 

The dialogue between the two sides will likely to continue for two days.

Prof. Ibrahim, a member of Taliban committee, while talking to British media has said that the members of the Shura of Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan Qari Shakeel, Azam Tariq, Moulvi Zakir and Moulvi Bashir will hold talks with the members of the government's negotiating team. He said, he and Maulana Yousuf Shah will attend the negotiations as observers. 

Prof. Ibrahim had earlier said that a representative of ISI could also attend the talks between the government and Taliban.
