“We are ready to go in the final with all our might to win the match against Germany. Ban on two of our players has come as a big blow but we are ready for a fight and upbeat to win the final for our country,” Mohammad Imran said.

Pakistan defeated India 4-3 in semifinals after which Indian hockey federation and Indian media criticized Pakistani players heavily for ‘uncouth behavior’ during their match celebrations.

Players reported that the crowd used foul language against them, which prompted them to misbehave after they won the match.

However, Narinder Batra President Hockey India, threatened FIH that India would not host any international event in future if Pakistan players were not punished.

Later FIH banned two green-shirts Amjad Ali and Mohammad Tauseeq for one match for misbehaving during semifinal triumph celebrations.
