The suspect named Tariq Patwari is said to be involved in the killing of Punjab Assembly member Rana Shamshad and his son.
According to details, Patwari opened fire at the law enforcement agencies during a raid in Khiyali area and was killed in the retaliatory fire of the law enforcement agencies.
The dead body was sent to Civil Hospital Gujranwala for postmortem.
Rana Shamshad MPA and his son were shot dead in a firing incident in Kamonki last year.
Shamshad was affiliated with ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and was elected as a member of Punjab Assembly from PP-100 Gujranwala.
