In an exclusive interview with ARY News, the vandal who was sentenced to at least 11 years in prison over his crime, maintained the he cannot move freely even after being released from prison as he thinks Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) or the Tahirul Qadri led Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) might kill him.
“Nawaz or Shahbaz Sharif want to kill me to equate the Model Town case, if I am murdered, Qadri’s case will be finished. I am in a position that even if someone kills me, he will become famous the world over,” said Gullu Butt.
The man who became a symbol of terror after the Model Town Incident maintained that he is not a terrorist but a social worker.
Butt clarified that he is not a PML-N worker and only supported the Sharifs in 2009 when they lost the Punjavb government and the province was under governor rule.
So what was he doing there? why he smashed vehicles?
Though he was convicted and sentenced in the case, Butt claimed that he was just out to take some eatables for breakfast.
“When I reached there I saw police and a number of other people. I tried to mediate between the two (PAT workers and police) magar Qadri sahab k admi mujhse direct hogaye (but PAT workers beat me),” said Gullu.
The man did not clarify as to why he resorted to vandalism but only said he vent his anger by smashing the vehicles.
