Gunmen attack leaves MQM MNA injured in Lahore

LAHORE: Unknown armed men attacked the Member National Assembly of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement in Lahore, leaving her critically injured, ARY News reported Wednesday.

MNA Tahira Asif sustained three bullets in her back and was immediately shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital. Sources say the MNA was seriously injured in the firing. She was targeted on Lahore Motorway. The MNA had no security guard with her at the time of incident. She was leaving for Islamabad.

Initial reports say the armed men were riding a motorbike who attacked Ms. Asif.

MQM has express serious reservations that their parliamentarians were being targeted in Punjab.
