NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Pakistan’s gunship helicopters continued shelling in North Waziristan’s militants infested regions in the ongoing ‘Operation Zarb-e-Azb’, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to military sources, at least 25 insurgents were killed in helicopter raids.

In the military operation 219 terrorists have been killed so far, ISPR said in a statement. Six soldiers were also martyred, sacrificing their lives for security of the homeland.

A large number of foreign militants have also been killed in Zarb-e-Azb including many foreign terrorists, most of them were Uzbek militants, military statement said.

The Army has taken control of Kagga Top, Nawa Top and other points in the border region of Mamond.

The authorities have softened restrictions of curfew in the area. A large number of people migrating from the troubled region to safer places.
