Hafeez reported for suspect bowling action

TOP NEWS

Hafeez was reported by umpire Kumar Dharamsena, Vineet Kulkarni and Anil Chaudhary, who had officiated in the Dolphins-Lions match.

According to Champions League (CLT20) rules and regulations, a player could request for an official assessment from the Board for Cricket Control in India’s (BCCI) suspect bowling action committee. However one can continue to play for his team without assessment with the name placed on the tournament’s ‘warning list’.

Furthermore, if one reported again, he still on the warning list, the players will be suspended from bowling in the tournament – and in any cricket organized by the BCCI – until their actions are cleared.

Being reported in the CLT20 has no impact on a bowler’s participation in international cricket.
