Hamid Raza's petition against Geo TV still to be given a date
FAISALABAD: Chairman of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), Hamid Raza's petition filed in the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan, against Geo TV Network is still not given a date for hearing – ARY News reports.
According to details, the SIC Chief had filed a petition against Geo TV over blasphemy issue, on May 17, yet his petition is still to be given a date for hearing, by the apex court.
Hamid Raza has demanded the people of Pakistan to boycott Geo TV and Jang Group.
He also urged them to come out of their houses for submitting petition against Geo TV, in all the registries of the apex court.
Geo TV morning show, 'Utho Jago Pakistan' had aired a controversial episode committing blasphemy of the Ahl e Bait (RA), after which a wave severe criticism arose all over the country.
As a consequence, Geo TV management had suspended the program and its entire team.
All the religious and political parties had condemned the sadistic incident and taken out rallies in protest, which are still continued in different parts of the countries.
