KARACHI/LONDON: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan on Thursday said that PTI supporter Hamza Ali Abbasi perhaps read a different book than the one she is writing, ARY News reported.

“My book has nothing what Hamza Ali Abbasi is writing about, my book is way different than the impression people are getting (from his posts),” Reham whose upcoming biography’s “leaked excerpts” have created quite a stir in Pakistan’s political arena, told ARY News.

‘I am not Jemima and proud of it’

Responding to comparison with Imran Khan’s first wife Jemima Goldsmith, Reham Khan said that she and Jemima are two different women.

“I am very proud of who I am, I belong to a different family, my marriage and divorce happened in different circumstances, and I don’t want people to compare me with Jemima, I am proud of who I am,” said Reham Khan.

Reham added that all those people who are saying that she did an ungraceful thing by writing a book about her days with Imran Khan, should remember that “it is not graceful to bear injustices and remain silent”. (at 29:30 mark in the video below).

“Till today, I have not relied on my father, brother or anyone else, I am not a Jewish heiress, I am self-reliant and proud of it,” said Reham Khan.

It is pertinent to note here that Reham Khan is expected to release her biography before July 25 general elections and the book is expected to contain some revelations about PTI and its chief Imran Khan.

Reham married Imran Khan in January 2015 in a ceremony at PTI chief’s Islamabad home, but was divorced ten months later.

The hype surrounding her book release got an unexpected boost when on June 3, claimed on Twitter that he has read a manuscript of the book and it portrays PTI chief as an evil man.

Hours later, PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said that the book is “exercise to demolish only and real opposition” PTI.

Both Hamza and Fawad claim that the book contains “lies” and “defamatory content”, not only about PTI leaders but some other people related to Reham in the past.
