Hamza should wait for more revelations regarding Sharif family’s corrupt practices: Aleem Khan
LAHORE: Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan on Wednesday strongly criticized Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for protesting outside Punjab Assembly against Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest, ARY News reported.
Speaking to media, Aleem Khan said that it is ridiculous to agitate for Shehbaz’s case as it was registered by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and has nothing to with Punjab government.
Abdul Aleem Khan suggested Hamza Shahbaz to wait patiently as soon more details of corruption of Sharif Family to come and masses would be watching that how they plundered the national exchequer in the last 10 years in Punjab.
Senior Minister claimed that none is a sacred cow and everyone would have to face the consequences for looting the public money.
“Looter’s properties would be sold out and bank accounts will be seized. Each and every penny looted from taxpayers will be deposited in the treasury,” said Aleem Khan.
The minister maintained that the PML-N protest is the first of kind in which an elected house was being involved for an accused who is going through a trial.
He claimed that if Sharif family had not been so corrupt, Pakistan wouldn’t have been facing a financial crisis today
“People of Pakistan have decided in favour of PTI and will also vote for Tehreek-e-Insaf in the upcoming by-polls in large numbers,” claimed the minister.
He maintained that protests cannot stop the accountability process.
It is pertinent to mention here that members of PML-N today staged a protest outside the Punjab Assembly against the arrest of party president Shehbaz Sharif.
The protest session was called and led by Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz.
The decision to organise protests was taken at the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting presided over by the PML-N supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif earlier this week.
