Heavy rain leaves four dead in Bannu and Bhakkar

Rainwater caused serious damage in Punjab’s city of Bhakkar where roads remained completely flooded due to poor drainage system.

Two people died in the city after being electrocuted in separate rain-linked accidents.

Meanwhile in Bannu, roof of a house collapsed after a fresh spell of rain and killed two people including a woman.

In varying rain-related incidents at least 30 more people were also wounded in the city besides massive infrastructure damage.

Sialkot and Kot Momin were also badly affected by a recent rain spell.

The Met office has forecasted more rains in the next three days in scattered parts of Pakistan including the twin cities, Lahore, Kashmir and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally administered tribal areas (Fata), Balochistan and Sindh.

The national weather department has also warned that the new spell of rain could trigger flooding and landsliding in some parts of Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
