Salman Khan’s lawyer Harish Salve argued before the court that no one can be sent to jail without proper order. He said Salman Khan’s lawyer has so far not received the full court order but only an operative part of the court verdict.

After the arguments of Salman Khan’s lawyer the high court granted two days’ interim bail to the convicted Bollywood actor.

A Mumbai court earlier awarded five years jail sentence to Salman who found guilty of a hit and run case in 2002 in which a man was crushed to death under his car’s wheels and another was injured.

The court found Salman Khan guilty of culpable homicide under section 304 of the Indian criminal law. Judge handed him five-year term in jail and 25000 rupees fine.
