KARACHI: The rising trend in gold prices remained continue, as the increase of price in global market results the hike of Rs.500 per tola of Gold in Pakistan, ARY News reported.
Following the increase Gold now stand at Rs. 53400 per tola, which was lied at Rs.52900.
Similarly, the price of 10 gram gold has been raised by Rs.429 to Rs.45771.
On the other hand, Gold import of Pakistan witnessed an increase of over 40 per cent during July-January 2013-14 to dollars 172.941 million.
According to statistics revealed by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Gold import grew by dollars 49.553 million during July-January 2013-14 from dollars 123.388 million in the same period last fiscal year.
Furthermore, as per official figures, in terms of volume: gold import showed a growth of 80 per cent or 1,933 kilograms to 4,202 kilograms in July-January 2013-14 from 2,269 kilograms during the same period last fiscal year.
