Hot and humid weather spell to continue in Karachi
KARACHI: The met office has forecast hot and humid weather in Karachi on Wednesday (today), ARY News reported.
The weather will remain partially cloudy in the city and the wind speed will remain seven nautical miles per hour. The maximum temperature likely to rose to 36°Celsius, weather forecast said.
In past week mercury soared up to above 40 degree Celsius in the port city.
Due to the highest ratio of the humidity in the air the ‘feels like’ temperature remained up to 47-50°C.
Seasonal low presently lies over northeast Balochistan with its trough extending northeast wards and a westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country, weather report said.
Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country today. However, dust-thunderstorm/rain with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, D.G.Khan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Zhob, Hazara, D.I.Khan divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir during evening/night.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department yesterday’s highest maximum temperatures were
recorded in Turbat 49°Celsius, Lasbella 44°C and Dadu 43°C.
