ISLAMABAD: A picture of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz before grilling session with Joint Investigation Team (JIT) at the Federal Judicial Academy here has gone viral on social media, ARY News reported on Sunday.
The photo that apparently dates back to May 28 shows the premier’s son Hussain Nawaz sitting on a chair before an interrogation session by the JIT. The leaked photo is raising questions about the source behind it.
The photo is captured from inside the interrogation room. Hussain has appeared four times before the JIT in a week, that has been probing the ruling family’s offshore properties and money trail in line with Panamagate verdict, announced on April 20 this year by the Supreme Court.
The Twitterati including politicians and analysts shared the picture just moments after it leaked while some – particularly Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers – were concerned with questioning how the picture taken from the CCTV camera of the building got leaked.
Hussain Nawaz appeared before the JIT on May 28 for the first time at the federal judicial academy and faced a barrage of questions for over two hours.
He made his second appearance on Tuesday (May 30) during which he was grilled for hours. However, Hussain was provided urgent medical care after his blood sugar level reportedly dropped following the hours-long interrogation.
For third time, Hussain Nawaz reached Federal Judicial Academy on Thursday (June 1) to appear before the probing team.
Hussain made his fourth appearance on 3rd June.
