Talking to media on Friday, Asif Ali Zardari said that he is not an advisor to the PM, yet he is extending just support to the premier for the sake of democracy. He said that whatever happened inside the Parliament today, was not good at all.
The former President said, “Whether to reconcile or fight the opponents, will be dealt pragmatically”. He also said that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) should not be subjected to unnecessary accountability.
Zardari said whether the establishment is backing these parties or not, this is something only the government can explain.
He said he has never done a favor to Nawaz Sharif, nor is he doing now.
“I am in Islamabad for the sake of democracy and not the prime minister” added the PPP co-chairperson.
