Fawad Khan’s comments come following Shiv Sena’s escalating threats of violence and protests against Pakistani artists who wanted to perform in India. Speaking at the plantation ceremony of Shaukat Khanum hospital in Peshawar, Fawad Khan categorically stated that he had not faced any problem while shooting for films in India.

Hinting towards Shiv Sena, Fawad also said that it was best to ignore such groups because they existed in Pakistan as well.

“The groups that work against Pakistan should be ignored because there are similar groups present in Pakistan too. We as artists should ignore such groups and concentrate on our work,” he said.

The Shiv Sena had been instrumental in forcing Pakistani ghazal legend Ghulam Ali cancel his concerts in India. A top Indian diplomat Sudheendra Kulkarni was also victimised when Shiv Sainiks threw black ink on his face, for organizing Khurshid Kasuri’s book launch.

Fawad was present at the SKMH Peshawar to show his support for the project and urge fellow Pakistanis to keep on contributing for the good of the people. Looking suave as always in a brown jacket, this is what Fawad said:-

Fawad Khan is going to be seen in Kapoor and Sons, his next Bollywood flick which will also star young guns Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. ALso, it stars Rishi Kapoor in the movie. Not only that, Fawad will be seen in a cameo role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and Anushka Sharma.

Seems like so far, the Khoobsurat star has not encountered any difficulties as of yet from Hindu extremist groups.
