Ibrahim hopeful venue of Gov't, Taliban talks will soon be decided
ISLAMABAD: Member of Taliban-nominated committee, Professor Ibrahim has expressed his hopes that a venue for direct talks between the Government and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) will soon be decided, whereas he told that the banned outfit has not put forth the condition of releasing prisoners and it has also agreed upon preventing Ahrar ul Hind from terrorism activities – ARY News reports.
In his exclusive talk with ARY News, Professor Ibrahim told that the Government and Taliban both have suggested different places to hold talks, whilst the banned organization has reservations on negotiations in North Waziristan and Bannu. He told that Taliban are also investigating newly surfaced Ahrar ul Hind and have agreed upon preventing it from lodging any attacks.
Ibrahim clarified that Taliban have not yet demanded the Government for the release of their prisoners, nor have they put any such condition for talks.
Moreover, the Government so far has not responded clearly in this regard, yet a positive advancement is soon expected by it, said the Taliban-nominated committee.
