Ibrahim reveals Taliban representatives for dialogue with Gov't envoys
ISLAMABAD: Jamat e Islami (JI) leader and member of old Taliban-nominated committee, Professor Ibrahim has said that Qari Shakeel, Azam Tariq, Molvi Zakir and Molvi Bashir will hold a dialogue with the Government envoys on behalf of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) – ARY News reports.
Talking to foreign broadcasting agency, Professor Ibrahim told that the Government envoys could fly to North Waziristan tribal region due to inappropriate weather conditions on Tuesday; however the dialogue will kick start as soon as the weather turns moderate.
He further told that Qari Shakeel, Azam Tariq, Molvi Zakir and Molvi Bashir will negotiate with the Government on behalf of Taliban, whereas he himself and Molana Yousuf Shah will be there to assist the process.
Earlier to this, Ibrahim had told that a meeting between Government and Taliban representatives will be held in the next 1 or 2 days, at which a representative from Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) is also expected apart from envoys from both sides.
