Ibrahim urges for a 'peace zone' in FATA to hold talks with Taliban

PESHAWAR: Member of Taliban-nominated committee, Professor Ibrahim has said that a peace zone should be established in FATA for holding dialogue, where the members of Government committee and Taliban could go freely – ARY News reports.

Talking to media on Friday, Professor Ibrahim emphasized on the need of establishing a peace zone, where Government envoys and Taliban leaders could go freely and hold discussions.

He stated that for leading the negotiations process, non-combatant prisoners are also demanded to be released by the state.

Ibrahim told that the negotiations process will lead forth with the release of prisoners from both sides.

Earlier today, Professor Ibrahim and Molana Yousuf Shah had returned from North Waziristan after holding talks with the political council of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
