If case delayed, Musharraf would’ve fled, claims Rasheed

ISLAMABAD: Pervez Rasheed, Federal Minister for Information, stated that Pervez Musharraf would have fled from the country if any delay was made in the treason case, ARY News reports.

While speaking to the media on Tuesday, the information minister said that an investigation report has been submitted in the court with regard to charges against the former president. The court will make their own decisions, he added.

Pervez Rasheed further said that media played a responsible role during the Rawalpindi Incident.

Earlier speaking at an information seminar, the Federal Information Minister claimed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had complained that he was not receiving complete information. He further said that the Prime Minister came to know from a foreign radio station that Pervez Musharraf had toldd General (Retd.) Aziz that Nawaz Sharif was unaware that the military has entered in Kargil.

Pervez Rasheed stated that no access to information hides the bad deeds. The secrecy laws must be abolished, he added.

He claimed that the PML-N Government wants to make such a Pakistan in which every information can be accessed
