IFJ, PFUJ urge Pak, Afghan governments for recovery of Faizullah Khan
ISLAMABAD: International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) have urged the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan to ensure safe recovery of missing ARY News reporter Faizullah Khan.
Faizullah Khan went missing while performing his professional duties in the nortwestern tribal region of Pakistan.
According to ARY News, IFJ and PFUJ have requested the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan for all out efforts for safe recovery of the missing newsman.
IFJ in its statement said that Pakistan and Afghanistan are both dangerous for the journalists. The disappearance of Faizullah Khan highlights the difficulties and threat faced by the newsmen.
The International Federation of Journalists has advised the mediamen performing their professional duties in tribal areas to observe caution while working on their professional assignments.
Moreover, Bureau Chief of ARY News in Peshawar Zia ul Haq called on Afghan ambassador in Pakistan and submitted a formal request about disappearance of Faizullah Khan.
