England XI won the toss and chose to bat first.

England XI declared at 286/5 in their first innings. Jonny Bairstow scored 66 runs with the help of four boundaries and a six while Joe Root made 59 runs which included five fours.

Alastair Cook made 53 runs with the help of four boundaries while Adil Rashid’s 51 run knock included three fours and a six.

Zafar Gohar took three wickets for Pakistan A while Zia-ul-Haq and Iftikhar Ahmed grabbed one wicket each.

Pakistan A were batting at 216/5 after the second day’s play came to an end.

Iftikhar Ahmed scored 92 runs for the team with the help of five boundaries and two sixes. Fawad Alam made 55 runs which included seven fours.

Adnan Akmal scored 26 runs with the help of five boundaries.
