The citizen, Yasir Jameel, fought off two robbers with the help of his licensed gun and injured the criminals by opening fire upon them during a robbery in Nazimabad 1 area within the precincts of Rizvia police station.
Owing to their injuries, the robbers lost their lives during treatment at hospital.
Police later recovered two cellphones, a pistol, some ammunition and sum of Rs 3000 from the robbers’ custody.
Speaking on the occasion, IG Sindh said that cooperation of citizens is necessary to fight terror and crime within the province.
“Citizens will have to play their due role and help us achieve our goal of a peaceful and prosperous society,” said Khawaja.
