The trial court had issued arrest warrants of the former military ruler Musharraf for his failure to appear before the court.

Musharraf had challenged the warrants in Islamabad High Court.

The counsel of Musharraf Malik Tahir Mehmood appeared before the court today and produced the medical reports of the former president in the court. The counsel informed the court that his client could not appear before the court due to ill health.

Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi asked the counsel why his client could not appear in regular court hearings despite the court orders.

The IHC bench however conditionally set aside the non-bailable arrest warrants of Musharraf and restored the bail sureties confiscated by the trial court.

The court ordered Musharraf to appear before the trial court in its hearing on April 27, otherwise the arrest warrants will be restored.
