IHC issues detailed verdict on appointment of Pervez Rathore as PEMRA Chief

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued detailed verdict of the suspension of acting Chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Pervez Rathore – ARY News reports.

According to details, the IHC issued a detailed verdict comprising of four pages, mentioning that the court had ordered the acting Chief to stop working, but the parties in the case violated the orders and hence found guilty of court’s contempt.

The IHC suspended the notification of the appointment of Pervez Rathore and the member of the executive council, Kamaluddin Tipu, which was issued on June 24, till the next hearing of the case.

Moreover, the court categorically suspended the notification of the appointment of Pervez Rathore as the acting PEMRA Chairman.
