IHC Registrar returns fresh petitions by Musharraf
ISLAMABAD: Registrar of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) returned the two petitions filed by former President and Army Chief of Pakistan General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf challenging the formation of the bench in the treason case here on Monday.
The former President had filed two fresh petitions regarding the formation of the bench in the special court for the treason case in the court today. However, the Registrar returned the petition by objecting on the incorrect print of the petition.
Justice Riaz heard the second petition filed by Musharraf to challenge the special trial in the court today. Khalid Ranjha, Lawyer of Pervez Musharraf, argued that the 3rd November trial can only be held under the Army Act as his client had acted as the Army Chief at that time.
