IHC rejects Musharraf plea for exemption from appearance

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court on Thursday rejected a plea of former president Pervez Musharraf seeking exemption from appearing before the special court, ARY News reported. 

Single bench of Islamabad High Court comprises of Justice Riaz Khan heard the case. 

Khalid Ranjha, counsel of Pervez Musharraf, in his arguments before the bench contended that Musharraf given exemption from appearing before the special court till hearing of the intra court appeal regarding formation and jurisdiction of the special court.

The bench reserved the verdict after arguments and later turned down the petition.
