KARACHI: Information Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Memon has said that it is impossible to hold the Local Bodies (LB) Elections on 18th January, ARY News reports.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Sharjeel Memon urged that the polls should be conducted in the month of March, next year. No hurry should be made for holding the elections, he added.
He further stated that the date issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is a violation of the decision of the Sindh Assembly as the Sindh Local Government Act states that the dates can only be announced after consultation with the Provincial Government.
